Here are two feature rich destinations you can roll into one day.

First, park by the hooch at 34.575119,-83.633863 and walk along a country road to explore a Junk Car Yard at 34.578696,-83.622909. It’ll cost 3 bucks to park unless you have a ga sp park pass. The car yard has several old autos from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s with a lot of chrome logos still attached. This is one of the coolest car yards I’ve walked.

Spend the second half of the day near by at Mossy Creek State Park. There are no facilities to clutter up the place. Mossy Creek drops into the Chattahoochee river as it tumbles over impressive rock outcrops. Across the creek is a horse field where you’ll probably see a few grazing.
