From Bucks Pocket State Park in Alabama I hiked Little Sauty Creek to the top of a gorge. It was a marked trail but just barely used in spots. I waved a stick in front of me to keep the spider webs from latching on. There were lots of fallen trees and boulders to squirm around. A hidden waterfall plunged into a deep pool of cold water. At the top of the gorge the view opened up. There was a farm house on land cleared to the absolute edge of the opposite cliff wall. The trail ended in a parking lot. I could have driven here but certain the view would not have been appreciated as much.
