Jeromie and I set up camp at Brush Creek Park and paddled 13 miles down West Point Lake south of Franklin, GA. The lake was low and exposed a flooded forest of dead trees to meander through as we progressed up a side creek until we could go no further. It was sundown when we got back to camp. I stepped out of the boat and sank up to my waist in the mud.  Before leaving the next morning we were treated to an Alligator tall tale from the campground attendant.
