Wanna explore a really old brick factory ruin in the quiet Oconee WMA? Then park your car at this landing at 33.72144,-83.290315 on the Oconee river and hike a side trail along the river or kayak up stream to the ruin at 33.732924,-83.289692. There’s a small side trail behind the Ruin that will take you to an old homestead. Also, if you walk the gravel road that leads from the ruin you’ll notice some pretty steep erosion pits that usually means there once was a homestead close by so free-hike and see if you can find one.
