Put in at Campbellton Road Landing 33.694031,-84.62966 and reverse paddle 5 miles of the Chattahoochee River to Buzzards Roost Island 33.742256,-84.578247. The island has a big beach and a good amount of interior woods to walk. This is on the industrial side of town so who knows what you might find deposited by the flood waters. Check the photos above for a great sign I found here. By the way, right across from the landing is an old Crane and builder junk worth a walk either at the beginning or the end of your trip.
