I reverse paddled up the Flint river from Reynolds, GA. I started at 10:00am and stopped at 5:00pm. The river was full and the current brisk. I made it about 6 miles and camped on a sandbank. An interesting feature at 3.5 miles was a railroad bridge with iron spikes laying about and a decaying wooden embankment. Past the bridge the Flint turned real quiet, wild and twisted with sandbanks a plenty. After setting up camp I explored the interior swamp until it was too thick to move through briars, vines and marsh mud.
